A little bit about myself
The core of my client work is building a professional, therapeutic relationship where I offer clients a safe space to process their experiences. I am a BACP Member who has a Person Centred (BA hons) approach to my work, this means the therapy you will experience will go at your own pace, where you will be able to make your own decisions around your therapeutic journey. I am also experienced in integrative ways of working, this means we can use different modalities of therapy based on your own personal goals.
My belief of therapy is allowing a none judgmental space allowing clients time and space to facilitate personal growth and healing. There may be a variety of presenting issues which may have brought you to my page today, clients I work with experience anxiety, depression, mental health difficulties, low self esteem, low self worth, PTSD, historic trauma, among other emotional issues.
My work is focused on the here and now, although you may be brought to therapy due to effects of things which may have happened in your past I will work with you to heal the present day and make a healthier future. This way of working is beneficial for clients who may have experienced childhood trauma, sexual abuse, previous domestic violence or historic trauma. I have specialized experience working with survivors of childhood exploitation and sexual abuse for both men and women, and can also offer a dedicated program to facilitate healing for clients. I am also experienced in working with clients who identify within the LGBT+ community, including working with complex issues within same sex relationships such as domestic violence and gender identity.
Within therapy you will be able to be you, and by being true to yourself we can look at ways to support you, facilitate personal growth and sooth healing of past trauma. Every person is unique, and every appointment will be directed by you where we can allow space for you to work on your own aim and aspirations throughout therapy. Therapy can take place in a confidential therapy room in St Helens, or we can arrange 'Walk and Talk' and outdoor therapy depending on what you would like from our sessions.
